Modern pharma is built on the shoulders of plant medicine. The World Health Organization estimates that at least 25 percent of modern drugs were inspired from plant chemistry—and that’s without taking into account the impact of other traditional sources like fungi and minerals.

Whereas Western medicine strives to isolate active chemicals, Traditional Chinese Medicine employs whole plants. Using the whole organism delivers an orchestrated system of constituents evolved to work together: active ingredients, chemicals that balance side effects, and compounds that manage secondary symptoms.

This delicate choreography of plant therapy is a complex science. All of our herbal practitioners have spent a minimum of three years earning a Masters in Science that focuses on herbal medicine. Many of them have also completed extensive postgraduate apprenticeships under renowned experts. This training enables our practitioners to offer evidence based recommendations, and provide support to patients who would like to explore how herbal medicine can help them—either as a single therapy or as a compliment to pharmaceutical necessities.

Initial COnsult

In this 20-30 minute session your practitioner will do a detailed intake interview. After assessing your current presentation, underlying constitution, and treatment goals the practitioner will provide an herbal prescription. Depending on your individual needs, the herbs may be a pre-blended mix of encapsulated herbs, a single herb tincture, a granulated powder to be mixed with water, or a custom blend of raw herbs to be cooked at home. Raw herbs may be mailed to you as they often require extra time from the practitioner to prepare. Initial consultations are available with a generating or sustaining payment. Cost of herbal materials not included.

FOLLOW UP CONSULT

After assessing any changes in your symptoms, checking your pulses, and reviewing your current goals the practitioner will provide an herbal prescription. Depending on your individual needs, the herbs may be a pre-blended mix of encapsulated herbs, a single herb tincture, a granulated powder to be mixed with water, or a custom blend of raw herbs to be cooked at home.
